The wall speaker annouce that today is a unscheduled holiday. Jonas and his family are surprised because this event happens rarely in the community. No body has to go to work or school. It’s a free day.
Since 4 months Jonas doesn’t take his pills, the stirrings had returned and he had pleasurable dreams again. Now he’s able to see all the colors, and he knows to recognize all the feelings which exist.
In his free day jonas is going to see Asher and Fiona. When he arrives, they are playing a game called good guys and bad guys with other children. Jonas realize that is a game of war, so his feelings came again. He‘s seeing in his mind the young boy who are dying in a battlefield. He struggling not to cry. The children went away and asher was angry against him, but Jonas couldn’t explain him why he wouldn’t play.
In the evening Lily said that she’s trying to ride a bike and Jonas want to help her. It was almost december and she’s going to be a nine. After that the father said that tomorrow the twins are being born and he will do the selection. One for here, the other for elsewhere. Then he had to prepare the ceremony of release…
